Town Government
Rehoboth Town Departments
Finding the Right Department
Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Nearly all of them work out of Town Hall at 340 Anawan Street, and they keep the same hours, Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday until noon.
Two things about Rehoboth are worth knowing before you pick up the phone. The town has no municipal sewer and no municipal water for most of its houses, which makes the Health Department the office that reviews the septic system and well almost every Rehoboth home depends on. And the town has no municipal library department: public library service is provided by the Rehoboth Antiquarian Society under an agreement the Board of Selectmen signs each year.
The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. For the full list, hours and staff, visit rehobothma.gov.
