Rehoboth School Committee & Superintendent
The Superintendent
Bill Runey
About 2,524 students start their day in this district, and one person answers for all of it. Bill Runey is Superintendent of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District, proposing the school budget, setting academic priorities, and running five schools day to day. The Superintendent is hired by and reports to the elected School Committee. Because the district is regional, that committee answers to two towns at once: Rehoboth voters elect five of its ten seats and Dighton voters elect the other five.
Rehoboth does not run its own schools. Your school budget is built at 2700 Regional Road in North Dighton and voted by a committee half of whose members you do not get to vote for. That is worth knowing before you write to anyone about a school question, because the address is not Town Hall.

The School Committee
The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School Committee has ten members serving staggered three year terms, five elected by Rehoboth voters and five by Dighton voters. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent. It reorganized on April 28, 2026, three weeks after the town elections in both towns, and elected Christopher Andrade of Dighton as Chairperson by a unanimous vote, Aaron Morse of Rehoboth as Vice Chairperson, and Joe Luca of Rehoboth as Secretary. At the same meeting it set its regular meeting dates as the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Meetings rotate among the district’s schools and they are public, which means a Rehoboth student who shows up can speak.
