Rehoboth Legislators
Who Represents Rehoboth
Rehoboth is a rare thing on this site: a town that is not split at any level. The whole town sits in one state Senate district, one state House district and one Congressional district, so the same five names cover every address in Rehoboth. That makes writing to them simple. There is no line to check first, and no chance of sending a letter that has to be forwarded.
State Senator
Third Bristol and Plymouth District · Republican
Kelly A. Dooner
State House: Room 213-B · (617) 722-1551
Email: kelly.dooner@masenate.gov
The Third Bristol and Plymouth district takes in ten communities, and all of Rehoboth is inside it. Senator Dooner has held the seat since 2025 and sits on the Joint Committee on Ways and Means, which is the committee every spending bill in the Commonwealth has to pass through, along with Public Health, Health Care Financing, Higher Education and Public Service.
State Representative
4th Bristol District · Republican
Steven S. Howitt
State House: Room 237 · (617) 722-2305
Email: steven.howitt@mahouse.gov
The 4th Bristol district is four communities and Rehoboth is one of them, so no part of town has a different representative. Representative Howitt has held the seat since 2011 and sits on the Joint Committee on Financial Services, the Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use and Recovery, and the House Committees on Ethics and on Steering, Policy and Scheduling. A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office.
In Washington
All of Rehoboth sits in the Fourth Congressional District, which runs from Newton and Brookline south and west through 35 communities to the Rhode Island line. Massachusetts is represented in the U.S. Senate by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator, and Edward J. Markey, the junior senator, and both of them represent Rehoboth along with every other town in the state.
4th Congressional District · Democrat
Jake Auchincloss
Washington: 1524 Longworth House Office Building · 202-225-5931
Representative Auchincloss has held the seat since 2021 and sits on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He visited Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in the spring of 2026, which the Superintendent reported to the School Committee at its April 14 meeting.
