About 1,420 students start their day in this district, and one person answers for all of it. Kristine Nash leads Oxford Public Schools from the central administration office at 4 Maple Road, proposing the school budget, setting academic priorities, and running four schools day to day. The Superintendent is hired by and reports to the elected School Committee, which publishes the goals it evaluates against.
Note what this means for the money. The school budget is the one large piece of town spending the Town Manager does not build. It comes from the Superintendent to the School Committee, which holds a public hearing on it before it goes anywhere, and then it lands at the same Town Meeting that votes everything else.

The School Committee
The Oxford School Committee has five members, elected at large to three year overlapping terms under charter section 4-3-1. Oxford is a single town district, so all five answer to Oxford voters and nobody else, and no seat carries another town's name. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent. Charter section 4-3-2 requires it to hold a public hearing before it sends a budget to the Town Manager, with summaries of its recommendations available to anyone who asks for them at that hearing.
Like every town board, the committee reorganizes after each Annual Town Election. On May 20, 2026, the night after the election, it welcomed newly elected member Erin Pepka, thanked Leah Filipkowski for her years of service, and then voted unanimously three times: Todd Proctor as Chairman, Corey Burke as Vice Chairman, and Palmina Griffin as Secretary. A student representative is elected each year to sit with the committee as the liaison for the Student Advisory Council.

- Vocational schools: Oxford students may also attend Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School at 57 Old Muggett Hill Road in Charlton, and Oxford voters elect the town's member of that district's committee. Benjamin J. LaMountain was elected to the seat on May 19, 2026 with 721 votes.
