Who Represents Oxford
Six people speak for Oxford above the town line, and one of them depends on your street. Oxford is split between two Massachusetts House districts, so before you write to a state representative you need to know which side of the line you live on. One state senator carries the whole town, one member of Congress carries it in the U.S. House, and the Commonwealth's two U.S. senators represent the entire state, Oxford included. Between them they cover everything from a state road repair to a federal grant for your school.
State Senator
Worcester and Hampden District · Republican
Ryan C. Fattman
State House: Room 213-A · (617) 722-1420
Email: ryan.fattman@masenate.gov
A state senator votes the state budget, files bills, and sits on the joint committees where most bills live or die. All of Oxford sits inside the Worcester and Hampden district, so there is no district line to check before you write to this office. Senator Fattman serves as Assistant Minority Leader.
State Representatives
Oxford is split. Part of the town sits in the 7th Worcester House district and part in the 18th Worcester, so the representative who answers for your street depends on where in town you live. Check your address first, then write to the one who is actually yours. The lookup tools below take about ten seconds.
7th Worcester District · Republican
Paul K. Frost
State House: Room 124 · (617) 722-2100
Email: paul.frost@mahouse.gov
18th Worcester District · Republican
Joseph D. McKenna
State House: Room 167 · (617) 722-2810
Email: joseph.mckenna@mahouse.gov
A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent's behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office. Representative Frost serves as Second Assistant Minority Leader.
In Washington
All of Oxford sits in the First Congressional District, one of nine in Massachusetts, and the district reaches from the Berkshires east into Worcester County. Massachusetts is represented in the U.S. Senate by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator, and Edward J. Markey, the junior senator, and both of them represent you as much as any other Massachusetts voter.
1st Congressional District · Democrat
Richard E. Neal
Washington: 372 Cannon House Office Building · 202-225-5601
