Seekonk Select Board
About the Board
Article 5 of Seekonk’s Home Rule Charter vests the executive powers of the town in the Select Board. All five are elected town-wide, so every Seekonk voter helps choose all of them, and each serves a three-year term on a staggered schedule that puts a seat or two on the ballot each April. The board sets town policy, signs the warrants that decide what Town Meeting gets to vote on, appoints residents to many town boards, and hires and supervises the Town Administrator who runs the town day to day. When a daily problem becomes town policy, this is the room where it happens.
- Sets policy and direction for the whole town.
- Hires the Town Administrator and holds the Administrator accountable.
- Controls the warrant, deciding what business reaches Town Meeting for a vote.
Board Members
All five members are elected town-wide. At the April 6, 2026 annual election two seats were on the ballot and both were won by sitting members, Elizabeth Ann Elmasian with 943 votes and Robert Archambault with 903, so the board carried on with the same five people and the same officers.

The town routes contact to board members through the Select Board office, which can be reached at 508-336-2911. The current roster and every agenda are posted at seekonk-ma.gov.
Meetings & How to Participate
- When: 6 pm, every other Wednesday, at Seekonk Town Hall, 100 Peck Street. The town posts each agenda in advance and the location with it, because some meetings move.
- Agendas & minutes: posted on the town’s Agenda Center at seekonk-ma.gov. Agendas go up before the meeting; minutes go up once the board has approved them.
- Public comment: the board keeps a Community Speaks item on its agenda, and residents use it. Check the agenda for the procedure.
- Town Meeting: for the budget and bylaws, the deciding vote belongs to the registered voters in the hall, which can include you.
Public hearings and meetings are where residents shape town decisions.
