Academic Performance & Context
Medfield’s four-year graduation rate was 96.7%. MCAS results, graduation rates and accountability data are published and updated each year by DESE. Because these change annually, this guide links to the live state profile rather than reprinting numbers that quickly go stale.
Who Decides What This District Can Spend
The Superintendent proposes the school budget and the elected School Committee approves it, but the money itself is voted by Town Meeting, and when the town needs more than Proposition 2 1/2 allows it takes a second vote at the ballot box. That is exactly what happened in 2026: Town Meeting passed the override article on May 4 and the voters carried it 1,824 to 604 on June 8. If you want to know why your school has the staffing it has, that is the chain.
