Community Organizations
Medfield runs a second layer of civic life alongside the town: a community foundation, a schools coalition, a food cupboard, a historical society older than most in the Commonwealth. Every one of them takes volunteers, and several of them take students.

| Medfield Historical Society | Incorporated in 1891 and one of the oldest historical societies in the Commonwealth, with its museum in the old bank building at 6 Pleasant Street. It keeps the town’s collections, runs Medfield History Weekend, and publishes online collections of maps, postcards and the town’s hat-making trade. |
| Peak House Heritage Center | Operates the Peak House at 347 Main Street, built in 1711 and, in the Center’s own words, one of the earliest surviving examples of post-Medieval English architecture and the only free-standing structure of its kind in the United States. |
| Medfield Food Cupboard | A non-denominational non-profit whose stated mission is to provide supplemental or emergency food and select household and personal care items to Medfield residents in need of assistance.
