Finding the Right Department
Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Each department reports up to the Town Administrator, who appoints most of the department heads.
The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. Scituate publishes 75 directory listings in all, so if what you need is not here, the town’s full staff directory has it. Town Hall is at 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am to 4:45pm, Tuesday until 7:30pm, and Friday until 11:45am. Visit scituatema.gov for the rest.
