Community Organizations
The town’s own Community Groups page lists the organizations that operate separately from town government and carry a real share of the work anyway. These are the ones Scituate itself points residents to, and every one of them takes volunteers.

| Scituate Education Foundation | Funds innovative programs in the Scituate schools through grants, paid for by public and private donors. Its own site publishes a grant application process and the list of grants it has awarded. |
| CORSE Foundation | Community of Resources for Special Education, a 501(c)(3) started by Scituate parents and educators to fund educational, social and recreational programs for children with special needs. |
| North and South Rivers Watershed Association | A nonprofit of residents, families and businesses working to preserve and restore the waters of the North and South River watershed. Scituate’s own First Herring Brook Watershed Initiative is affiliated with it. 781-659-8168. |
| Scituate American Legion Post 144 | The town’s American Legion post, which runs veterans’ programs and community service in Scituate. |
| Scituate Chamber of Commerce | The association of Scituate businesses. In May 2026 it hosted a State of the Town forum whose panel was the Town Administrator and the Chair of the Select Board, with the candidates running in that year’s town election invited too. |
| Scituate Historical Society | Keeps the town’s historic buildings, including the Little Red School House, the Cudworth House, the Old Oaken Bucket Homestead and Old Scituate Light. It is listed without a link rather than with a guessed one. |

| Scituate Community Television | The town’s public access station. It records the Select Board, School Committee, Planning Board, Conservation Commission and Zoning Board and posts them to its own YouTube channel, so you can watch a meeting you could not attend. |
