Mayor’s Office
The Mayor of Methuen
Methuen is a strong-mayor city. The Mayor is the elected chief executive who runs the city day to day, appointing department heads, preparing and managing the budget, and carrying out the ordinances the City Council adopts. The Mayor also chairs both the City Council's legislative partner, the School Committee, and represents Methuen to the state and federal government.
