Finding the Right Department

Almost every time the city touches your daily life, a department is behind it: the trash truck, the building permit, the tax bill, the pool in summer, the inspector who keeps a restaurant honest. Most of these offices sit at or near City Hall, 200 Common Street, and you can reach them through the city’s main line at (978) 620-3000.

The directory below covers the offices people call most. For the full list with current staff and hours, see the city’s official departments directory at cityoflawrence.com.
