Community Organizations

Local history, a library, a station that carries your own town meetings, and a newspaper written by students at Hanover High. Several of these are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

Organization	What they do & contact
Hanover Historical Society	Keeps the town’s archives and museum in the Stetson House at 514 Hanover Street, the same building the town gives its Historical Commission.
Hanover Community Television	The town’s community access station. It carries Town Meeting, the Select Board and the School Committee live and on demand, on Comcast channel 8 and Verizon channel 36.
Cardinal Cushing Centers	One of the largest employers in Hanover. About 600 staff support more than 600 students and adults with intellectual disabilities, in the town’s own words.
The Hawk	Hanover High School’s own student newspaper, and the first entry on the town’s own list of local news outlets.
Friends of the John Curtis Free Library	Raises money to support and extend library services, and takes new members. The library’s three Trustees are elected town-wide, so that is a board you can run for.

Veterans’ Services	Benefits, claims, and services for Hanover veterans and their families. Veteran Service Officer Terrence O’Keeffe. 781-924-1913.
