Finding the Right Department
Most of what you need from City Hall does not run through an elected official at all. Paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a dead streetlight, registering to vote: each of those runs through a city department, and each department answers to the mayor, who appoints its head.
The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. For the full list, hours, and staff, visit brockton.ma.us. City Hall is at 45 School Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
