Finding the Right Department
Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department or a town office, not an elected board: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Alford is a town of a few hundred people, so several of these jobs are held by the same person, and all of them answer to the elected Select Board.
