Finding the Right Department

Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Almost all of Raynham’s departments work under the Town Administrator, and the Select Board appoints many of their heads, including the Police and Fire Chiefs, the Highway Superintendent and the Building Commissioner.

Two services most towns run as departments are not town departments here. Public water in Raynham is supplied by two separate districts, the North Raynham Water District at 80 Baker Road, (508) 824-0520, and the Raynham Center Water District at 280 Pleasant Street, (508) 824-0020. Each appears on the town’s own directory with its own address and phone, and neither answers to the Town Administrator.

The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. For the full list, hours, and staff, visit town.raynham.ma.us. Veterans Memorial Town Hall is at 558 South Main Street.
