Who Represents Northborough
Northborough is split between two state representative districts, and the town’s own Town Clerk publishes the line so you do not have to guess: precincts 1, 2 and 3 are in the 19th Worcester and precinct 4 is in the 12th. One state senator and one member of Congress cover the whole town, and the Commonwealth’s two U.S. senators represent the entire state, Northborough included. Six names on this page, five for any single address, and between them they cover everything from a state grant for a town trail to a federal farm bill.
State Senator
First Worcester District · Democrat
Robyn K. Kennedy
State House: Room 312-D · (617) 722-1544
Email: robyn.kennedy@masenate.gov
All four Northborough precincts sit inside the First Worcester district, so there is no district line to check before you write to your senator. Kennedy chairs the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities and sits on Senate Ways and Means, which is the committee that writes the Senate’s version of the state budget every year.
State Representatives
Northborough is split between two House districts, so the person who speaks for your street depends on where in town you live. Check your precinct before you write, because a letter to the wrong one of these two will simply be forwarded.
19th Worcester District · Democrat
Kate Donaghue
State House: Room 472 · (617) 722-2013
Email: kate.donaghue@mahouse.gov
12th Worcester District · Democrat
Meghan K. Kilcoyne
State House: Room 146 · (617) 722-2575
Email: meghan.kilcoyne@mahouse.gov
A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office. Kilcoyne sits on House Ways and Means, the committee that drafts the House budget. Donaghue sits on the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Businesses, among others. Both offices take calls from Northborough residents.

2nd Congressional District · Democrat
James P. McGovern
Washington: 370 Cannon House Office Building · 202-225-6101
