Community Organizations

A food pantry, a land trust, a climate group, an arts alliance restoring an armory, and a cable station that puts your own Select Board on television. Every organization on this page takes volunteers, and several of them are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

Community Organizations

Organization	What they do & contact
HUD-TV	Hudson Cable Access, and the reason you do not have to be in the room to watch the room. It carries Select Board and School Committee meetings on Comcast channel 8 and Verizon channel 47 and livestreams them, and it runs the microphone queue for remote public comment at School Committee meetings.
Hudson Community Food Pantry	In its own words, a non-profit organization serving Hudson, Berlin and Bolton residents who struggle with food insecurity. Based at 28 Houghton Street, and it runs on volunteers.
Hudson Land Trust	Preserving and protecting the natural resources of Hudson, in the trust’s own description of itself. Open space work that runs alongside the town’s own Conservation Commission rather than through it.
Green Hudson	Promoting local environmental sustainability. It runs town-wide clean-ups and public Climate Cafes, publishes a monthly newsletter, and worked on the town’s plastic reduction bylaw, which is the kind of thing Town Meeting votes.
Armory on the Assabet	An initiative of the Hudson Cultural Alliance to turn the historic downtown armory into a community arts and cultural center. A long project, publicly run, and it takes volunteers.
Hudson Rotary Club	Founded in 1923, a service organization supporting the community of Hudson alongside regional and international projects.
Hudson Historical Society	Collects and preserves objects, records and research about the Town of Hudson. Listed here without a link on purpose: the security certificate on its website expired on June 29, 2026, so a browser will stop you at a warning page rather than let you through.

Hudson Public Library	The Carnegie building at Wood Square, with a local history collection about the town and its residents. Library Director Aileen Sanchez-Himes. 978-568-9644. Its Library Trustees are one of the thirteen bodies Hudson voters elect, so this is a board you can run for.

Veterans Services	Benefits, claims, and services for Hudson veterans and their families. Veterans Director Brian Stearns. 978-568-9635.
