Who Represents Holland

The whole town sits in a single state representative district, a single state senate district, and a single congressional district, so there is no district line to check before you write. One representative, one senator, and one member of Congress speak for every Holland address, and the Commonwealth’s two U.S. senators represent the entire state, Holland included. Five names, and between them they cover everything from a town road grant to a federal tax bill.

State Senator

The Worcester and Hampden district gathers communities running from the Blackstone Valley towns of Uxbridge, Northbridge and Webster west through Sturbridge to Brimfield, Holland, Monson and Wales. All of Holland sits inside it, which means there is no district line to check before you write.

State Representative

A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office. Representative Smola’s district office takes calls from Holland residents.

In Washington

All of Holland sits in the 1st Congressional District, which covers most of western Massachusetts, from the Berkshires through Springfield and east to the hill towns. Massachusetts is represented in the U.S. Senate by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator, and Edward J. Markey, the junior senator, both Democrats.
