Groton, Massachusetts

Groton Community Organizations

A weekly newspaper, a public access channel that carries your own town meetings, a food pantry, and the business groups that keep the town’s Main Street working. Several of these take volunteers, and one of them, the public library, is a board you can run for.

Community Organizations

Organization What they do & contact
The Groton Herald Groton’s weekly community newspaper, covering the Select Board, Town Meeting, the schools and town elections. Reading it is the simplest way to know what is on the next warrant.
The Groton Channel The town’s public, educational and government access station. It carries Select Board, School Committee and Town Meeting sessions live and on demand, so you can watch the room even when you cannot be in it.
Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry A volunteer food pantry serving Groton and its neighboring towns from Devens, feeding local families since 1983. The Groton Center helps deliver its groceries to residents who cannot get there.
Groton Business Association A local association of Groton businesses that supports commerce and community events in town.
Groton Public Library The town’s public library. The Library Trustees who govern it are one of the bodies Groton voters elect directly, so this is a board you can run for.
