Carver Legislators

Who Represents Carver

The whole town sits in one state representative district and one state senate district, so unlike some of its neighbors, every Carver address has the same people on Beacon Hill. One member of Congress covers the town, and the Commonwealth’s two U.S. senators represent the entire state, Carver included. Five names on this page, and between them they cover everything from a local road project to a federal farm rule.

State Senator

A state senator votes the state budget, files and shapes legislation, and can press a state agency on a constituent’s behalf. All of Carver sits in the Third Bristol and Plymouth district, so there is no district line to check before you write.

State Representative

All of Carver sits in the 2nd Plymouth House district, so the same representative speaks for every street in town. There is no district line to check before you write.

A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office.

In Washington

All of Carver sits in the 9th Congressional District, which runs from the South Coast across the Cape and the Islands. Massachusetts is represented in the U.S. Senate by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator, and Edward J. Markey, the junior senator, both Democrats.
