Finding the Right Department
Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Buckland is a small town, so most of these offices share one building and one main number, and several jobs are handled through the region: building inspections come through the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, and fire protection and water run through the Shelburne Falls Fire District.
