Belmont Legislators

Who Represents Belmont

At the State House, all of Belmont sits in one state House district and one state Senate district, so the same two people carry the town’s voice to Boston. In Washington it is just as simple: the whole town is in the Fifth Congressional District, and the Commonwealth’s two U.S. senators represent every town in the state. One representative, two senators, and no guesswork about which side of a district line your street is on.

State Senator

Senator Brownsberger, a Democrat, represents the Suffolk and Middlesex District, which includes all of Belmont.

State Representative

All of Belmont is in the 24th Middlesex House district, so one representative speaks for the whole town.

Representative Rogers, a Democrat, holds the 24th Middlesex seat, which covers all of Belmont.

In Washington

The whole town is in the Fifth Congressional District, represented by U.S. Representative Katherine M. Clark, a Democrat. Massachusetts is represented in the U.S. Senate by Elizabeth Warren, the senior senator, and Edward J. Markey, the junior senator, both Democrats.
