Community Organizations
A museum that keeps the town’s own newspaper archive, a fair that has run since 1855, a water district with its own elected commissioners, and a newsroom that carries your Town Meeting. Every one of them takes volunteers, and several are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

| The Stone House Museum | Home of the Belchertown Historical Association since 1903. It holds the archives of the Belchertown Sentinel and the original print shop, moved onto the museum grounds in 1973, where the restored press is still demonstrated. |
| Belchertown Fair | The volunteer committee that runs the Belchertown Fair on and around the Common. The fair was started by the Farmers and Mechanics Club in 1855 and the committee has kept it going ever since. |
| Belchertown Water District | An independent district with its own elected commissioners, separate from town government, supplying water to much of the town. If your question is about water, this is often the body to ask rather than Town Hall. |

| Sentinel | The weekly paper of record for Belchertown, published by Turley Publications and serving Belchertown, Granby and Amherst. Its ancestor, the Belchertown Sentinel, was founded in 1915. |

| Lake Wallace Sensory Trail | A town trail with interpretive stations on vernal pools, ecological buffers, stormwater and the glacial history under your feet. It has its own volunteer programme and its own donation fund. |
