Finding the Right Department

Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Each department reports up to the Town Manager, who designates most of the department heads for the Select Board to confirm.

The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. For the full list, hours and staff, visit the town’s staff directory. Town Hall is at 104 Central Street, open Monday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
