Who Represents Wendell
The whole town sits in a single state representative district, a single state senate district, and a single congressional district, so there is no district line to check before you write. One representative, one senator, and one member of Congress speak for every Wendell address, and the Commonwealth’s two U.S. senators represent the entire state, Wendell included. Five names, and between them they cover everything from a town road grant to a federal tax bill.
State Senator
Hampshire, Franklin and Worcester District · Democrat
Jo Comerford
State House: Room 410 · (617) 722-1532
Email: jo.comerford@masenate.gov
The Hampshire, Franklin and Worcester district gathers 25 communities across the three counties it is named for, running through the hilltowns of the Quabbin region and taking in Wendell. A state senator votes the state budget, files bills, and can press a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, and all of Wendell sits inside this one district.
State Representative
7th Hampden District · Democrat
Aaron Saunders
State House: Room 34 · (617) 722-2320
Email: aaron.saunders@mahouse.gov
A state representative files bills, votes the state budget, and can chase a state agency on a constituent’s behalf, which is often the fastest use of the office. The 7th Hampden district runs across seven towns and covers all of Wendell, and Representative Saunders’ office takes calls from Wendell residents.
