Finding the Right Department
Most of what residents need from the town runs through a department, not an elected official: paying a bill, pulling a permit, reporting a problem, registering to vote. Each department reports up through the Town Administrator’s office, and the Board of Selectmen sets the policy the departments carry out.
The directory below covers the departments residents contact most. The town publishes a staff directory with the address, phone, fax and full staff of every department. Town Hall is at 140 Wood Street.
