Salem has a single State Representative covering the entire city, the 7th Essex District encompasses only Salem, so every resident shares the same state rep. For the State Senate, Salem is part of the Second Essex District alongside Beverly, Danvers, and Peabody. At the federal level, Salem falls within Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District.
