Mayor’s Office

The Mayor of Revere

Revere is a strong-mayor city. The Mayor is the elected chief executive who runs the city day to day — appointing department heads, preparing the budget, and carrying out the ordinances the City Council passes. Because the Mayor is chosen by the voters rather than hired by the Council, residents hold the city’s top executive directly accountable at the ballot box.

The Mayor

Patrick M. Keefe Jr.

Patrick M. Keefe Jr. was elected Mayor of Revere on November 7, 2023, after serving as Acting Mayor from April 2023, when former Mayor Brian Arrigo stepped down to lead the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation. Raised in neighboring Everett, Keefe settled in Revere in 2004 and built a 25-year career in hospitality before entering public service. He was first elected Ward 4 Councillor in 2015 and was serving as City Council President when he stepped into the Mayor’s Office.
