A water main, a food inspection, a burning permit, a veterans’ benefit and a library card are all somebody’s day job, and every one of those jobs has a direct line. Two offices ship here without a named head because no live town page names one: the Town Collector and Treasurer, and Recreation. Both direct lines are correct and answered.

Office Hours Worth Knowing
Most offices in the Town Administration Building keep the same schedule: Monday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, closed Friday. The long Monday evening exists so people who work days can get to the counter, and it is the single most useful thing on this page for a family with one car and two jobs. The town asks residents to call or email ahead, because staff are often out on site visits.
Public Works runs a different schedule, Monday to Friday from 7:00 am, and the Police Department’s administration office is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm while the department itself is staffed at all hours.
