Orange anchors a network of North Quabbin non-profits working on local food, farming, land conservation, and the arts. These are some of the most established, and every one of them takes volunteers.

Quabbin Harvest A community-owned food cooperative in downtown Orange, at 12 North Main Street, that grew out of a volunteer buying club in 2009 and now runs a full grocery selling local produce and building access to healthy, affordable food.
Seeds of Solidarity Education Center An Orange-based non-profit farm and education center that teaches people of all ages to grow food, and supplies produce to the Quabbin Harvest co-op.
Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust A regional land trust serving North Central and Western Massachusetts towns, Orange among them; it has conserved farmland in Orange and owns the downtown building that houses Quabbin Harvest.
North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival An annual festival held in Orange that draws thousands of visitors and supports local farms, artists, and land conservation across the North Quabbin.
