Representative Joshua Tarsky, a Democrat, won the 13th Norfolk seat in 2024 and took office in January 2025, succeeding Denise Garlick, who had held the seat since 2011 and did not seek re-election. The district covers all of Needham plus Dover and two Medfield precincts.
