Montague’s five villages are served by a network of nonprofits that run arts, youth programs, food, and community services. These are some of the most established, all rooted in Turners Falls.

Shea Theater Arts Center The nonprofit that programs the town-owned 1927 Shea Theater on Avenue A as a performing-arts center for music, dance, comedy, and theater. The town leases the building to it for one dollar a year.
The Brick House Community Resource Center For more than 30 years, a teen center, youth mentoring, a parents and families program, a food pantry, and community arts serving the five villages of Montague and the town of Gill. 413-863-9576.
The Montague Reporter A reader-supported nonprofit weekly newspaper, published Thursdays from 177 Avenue A, covering all five Montague villages and nearby towns.
