Ludlow Select Board
About the Board
The Select Board is elected town-wide, so every Ludlow voter helps choose all five, and each serves a three-year term on a staggered schedule that puts one or two seats on the ballot every March. The board sets town policy, signs the warrants that decide what Town Meeting gets to vote on, appoints residents to many town boards, serves as the licensing authority for everything from restaurants to used car lots, and hires and supervises the Town Administrator who runs the town day to day. When a daily problem becomes town policy, this is the room where it happens.

- Controls the warrant, deciding what business reaches Town Meeting for a vote.
Board Members
All five members are elected town-wide. At its first meeting after each March election the board reorganizes, choosing its own Chair and Vice Chair by open vote, and the minutes record every nomination and every tally. On April 7, 2026 the board welcomed its newest member, Tony Sanches, then voted William Rosenblum in as Chair and Anthony Alves as Vice Chair. Those votes are public record, taken in a public room.

Meetings & How to Participate
- When: the first and third Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m., Town Hall, 488 Chapin Street.
- Agendas & minutes: posted in advance on the town website at ludlow.ma.us.
- Public comment: meetings open with a public comment period. Sign in when you arrive and you will be called on when it is your turn.
- Watch: meetings are recorded by Ludlow Community Television, so you can see exactly how a vote unfolded even if you missed the room.
- Town Meeting: for the budget and bylaws, the deciding vote belongs to the representative Town Meeting members elected from your precinct.
Public hearings and meetings are where residents shape town decisions.
