Community Organizations

Grafton is served by a set of organizations that hold land, keep records, lend books, and grow food, and every one of them takes volunteers. Several of them will take a high school volunteer.

Non-Profit Organizations

Grafton Land Trust	A private, member-supported land trust, separate from town government, with more than 950 acres under protection and trails open to the public.
Community Harvest Project	A nonprofit farm growing food for hunger relief. Its Grafton operation is Brigham Hill Community Farm at 37 Wheeler Road, North Grafton, plus a leased farm across the road: 15 acres and more than 40 varieties of vegetables and blueberries. The Grafton volunteer season runs May through October.
Grafton Historical Society	Incorporated in 1964 to collect, preserve and interpret objects related to the history of Grafton. Its museum occupies the former South Grafton library building at 71 Main Street, and its programs run September through May.
Grafton Public Library	At 35 Grafton Common. Books, programs, computers, and a card that works at libraries across Massachusetts. Its trustees are elected town-wide. 508-839-4649.
Willard House & Clock Museum	A historic house museum at 62 Wesson Street, the home of the Willard clockmakers.
Grafton Housing Authority	The town housing authority. Four members are appointed or elected locally and one seat is filled town-wide on the annual ballot. Executive Director Amanda Brady. 508-839-6089.

Community Advocate	A regional weekly that covers Grafton alongside Shrewsbury, Westborough, Northborough, Southborough, Marlborough and Hudson, and reports on the Planning Board and town projects.
Grafton Community Television	The town’s own channel. Select Board meetings run live on Charter 192 and Verizon 33, school meetings on Grafton Education Television at Charter 194 and Verizon 32, and past meetings are posted online. 774-551-5778.
