Tari Nugent Thomas

The School Committee
The Gill-Montague Regional School Committee has nine voting members serving staggered three-year terms, three elected by Gill and six by Montague, so Gill families vote for the committee that governs schools they share with their neighbors. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent who runs the schools day to day. It meets at the district office in Turners Falls, and the meetings are public, which means a Gill student who shows up can speak.
