About the Council
The Fall River City Council is made up of nine members, all elected at-large to two-year terms — meaning every councilor represents the entire city rather than a single ward or district. The Council is the city’s legislative body: it sets priorities, approves the budget, passes ordinances, and provides oversight of city government. Each year the members elect a President and Vice-President from among themselves.
- Size: 9 members, all at-large (no wards).
- President: Cliff Ponte · Vice-President: Michelle Dionne.
