East Bridgewater School Committee & Superintendent

The Superintendent

Dr. Gina Williams

About 1,982 students start their day in East Bridgewater Public Schools, and one person answers for all of it. Dr. Gina Williams is the Superintendent. She proposes the school budget, sets academic priorities, and runs a district of three schools day to day. The Superintendent is hired by and reports to the elected School Committee, which runs a formal evaluation process each year through a subcommittee of its own. She opens the committee’s meetings, and the district mission she works under is short: the East Bridgewater Public School District, in partnership with our community, commits to empowering every student with the confidence, skills, and resilience to make a meaningful impact.

The School Committee

The East Bridgewater School Committee has six members, elected town-wide to staggered terms: Ellen Pennington, Dan Picha, Crystal Hudson, Aron Danielson, Don McDougall and Leslie McDonough. It sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent who runs the schools day to day. The committee reorganizes each spring after the annual town election and elects its own Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. It held that reorganization on May 19, 2026, and Ellen Pennington chairs the committee for 2026 to 2027.

Seats were filled at the Annual Town Election of Saturday, May 16, 2026, and these are the Town Clerk’s own results, marked unofficial the night they were posted.

Three-year seats (two) Crystal L. Hudson, 497 votes. Ellen K. Pennington, 298 votes.
Two-year seat Leslie J. McDonough, 441 votes.
One-year seat Don McDougall, filled by write-in, with 70 write-in votes cast.

The committee posts its full current membership on the district site. See the School Committee members page at ebps.net for the roster as the district publishes it.

  • Students have a standing slot. Time is scheduled at regular meetings for a report from the East Bridgewater High School Student Advisory Council, which is a seat at the table you can actually reach as a student.
  • Watch: meetings are recorded by East Bridgewater Community Access Media and posted on its channels.
  • Subcommittees: much of the detailed work on budget, policy and the superintendent’s evaluation happens in subcommittees, and those meetings are posted too.
