Dennis holds a museum, a theater and a historical society that people drive across the Cape to reach, and it is served by a wider network of food, housing and elder-services non-profits. Every one of them takes volunteers.

Dennis Historical Society A non-profit educational organization that collects and preserves the town’s history and runs the Josiah Dennis Manse Museum and the Jericho Historical Center.
Cape Cod Museum of Art Founded by artists in 1981 and based in Dennis, it holds the region’s art collection and runs exhibitions, classes and events year round.
The Cape Playhouse The summer theater that opened in Dennis Village in 1927 and still stages a professional season every year.
Dennis Chamber of Commerce Supports local businesses, promotes their growth, and connects members to each other and to the community.
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod A non-profit, non-denominational pantry providing food and clothing to Cape Cod residents who need them.
Housing Assistance Corporation A non-profit providing housing programs and services to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
Dennis Housing Authority The town housing authority. One seat on it is elected town-wide at the annual town election.
