Mayor Jared C. Nicholson is the 59th Mayor of the City of Lynn. He began his first term on January 3, 2022 and was sworn in for a second term in January 2026, focused on delivering inclusive growth through better schools, housing, jobs, infrastructure, and community peace.

Before becoming Mayor, Nicholson served three terms on the Lynn School Committee and was a law professor at Northeastern University, focusing on small businesses. He also worked in start-up law and provided free legal help to local businesses in Lynn.

He is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard Law, bilingual in English and Spanish, and lives in Lynn with his wife and two sons.
