Community Organizations

Yarmouth and the wider Cape are served by a network of non-profits providing food, housing, elder services and local history. These are some of the largest and most established, and every one of them takes volunteers.

International Fund for Animal Welfare Global animal welfare and conservation organisation founded in 1969, headquartered in Yarmouth Port.
Historical Society of Old Yarmouth Keeps the history of Yarmouth and Dennis, and runs the Captain Bangs Hallet House museum.
Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands Not for profit community based elder services organisation serving the twenty-two towns of Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
Housing Assistance Corporation Nonprofit providing housing programs and services to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod Provides food and clothing to Cape Cod residents who need them.
Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Local resource for businesses, events, services and visitor information in Yarmouth.
Yarmouth Housing Authority Town housing authority; one seat is elected town-wide.
