Warwick School Committee & Superintendent

The Superintendent

Kate Carbone

About 47 students start their day at the Warwick Community School, a very small district by any measure, and Kate Carbone is the Superintendent who answers for it. Warwick runs its own single-town elementary district, separate from any regional system, so the School Committee and the Superintendent set the course for the town’s own school directly. The Superintendent proposes the school budget, sets academic priorities, and is hired by and reports to the elected School Committee, which carries out an annual evaluation. Warwick keeps only an elementary school, so students continue their schooling outside town once they finish here.

The School Committee

The Warwick School Committee has five members elected town-wide by the town’s voters. It sets policy for the Warwick Community School, approves its budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent. Alan Genovese chairs the committee, with Diana Noble as Vice Chair and Adam Holloway as Secretary; Holloway and Miranda Kingfisher were elected at the May 18, 2026 town election. Genovese also chairs the Selectboard, a common overlap in a town this size, where the same neighbors often carry more than one elected job.
