Community Organizations

A food pantry, a community development lender, a library a membership association has run since 1881, and a newsroom and a camera that carry your own town meetings. Every organization on this page takes volunteers, and several of them are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

Ware Business & Civic Association The local business and civic association, linked from the town’s own site, promoting the town under its own banner: Somewhere Worth Seeing.
Quaboag Valley Community Development Corporation A community development corporation serving Ware and the Quaboag Valley: small business lending, workforce development, and community projects.
Jubilee Cupboard Food Pantry Trinity Episcopal Church’s food pantry at 80 Pleasant Street, open Thursday mornings, with a diaper ministry alongside it.
Quaboag Hills Substance Use Alliance A regional substance use prevention and recovery coalition, hosted inside Ware’s own town government pages.
Ware Community Television The town’s nonprofit cable access station at 237 West Street. It records and carries Selectboard meetings, School Committee sessions, school events and town government, and its operator sits in the room at the board’s regular meetings.
Ware Library (YMLA) Ware’s public library at 37 Main Street, founded by the Young Men’s Library Association in 1881 and still run by it, a membership association now in its second century of keeping the town’s library open.
Ware Historical Society Keeps the town’s story alongside the town’s own Historical Commission. Profiled by the Pioneer Valley History Network; it publishes no site of its own.
