The School Committee
The Truro School Committee has five members, elected town-wide to staggered three-year terms under the town charter. Truro Central School is a single-town district, so all five answer to Truro voters and nobody else. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent. Its meetings are held at Truro Central School and are public, which means a Truro student who shows up can speak.
