Community Organizations

Tisbury and the wider island are served by a network of non-profits and local institutions providing human services, senior care, health care, news and history. Many of them take volunteers, and all of them serve Tisbury residents.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services	The island’s main human-services agency: counseling, early childhood, disability and family programs for all six Vineyard towns.
Martha’s Vineyard Hospital	The island hospital, in Oak Bluffs, serving all six Vineyard towns as part of Mass General Brigham.
Vineyard Haven Public Library	The town’s public library, offering books, programs, computers and a statewide library card. 508-696-4210.
Tisbury Council on Aging Friends, Inc.	A non-profit that raises funds and support for the town’s Council on Aging and its senior programs.
