Local history, the arts, a newspaper written by residents, and a public library. Every organization on this page takes volunteers, and several of them are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

| Sandisfield Arts Center | The former 1839 town meetinghouse, later a Baptist chapel and then a rural synagogue, reopened by residents in 1995 as a nonprofit arts and cultural center for music, theater and exhibitions. A regional destination and a working example of what neighbors can restore themselves. |
| The Sandisfield Times | A free monthly community newspaper written and edited by residents and mailed to every Sandisfield household. It is the town’s own paper of record for meetings, warrants and local life, and it takes reader submissions. |
| Sandisfield Historical Society | Collects and preserves the town’s history and records, and helps run local commemorations. Volunteers welcome. |
| New Boston Congregational Church | A congregation in the New Boston village of Sandisfield, at 4 Sandisfield Road. |
