Community Organizations
Rochester’s civic life runs on a small network of volunteer organizations, a tri-town press, and the town’s own services for residents. Every one of the groups below takes volunteers.

| Rochester Land Trust | A volunteer-run land trust that acquires and protects fields, woods and streams and builds and maintains trails, working only within Rochester. |
| Rochester Historical Society | Preserves the town’s history; its museum occupies the former East Rochester Congregational Church of 1887, at 355 County Road, on the National Register of Historic Places. |
| Rochester Women’s Club | A community club on Marion Road organized in 1928 and incorporated in 1932; over the years its hall has hosted the Girl Scouts, the Feather and Fin Club and the Red Cross. |
