Community Organizations
In a town of 160 the community resources are not a garnish on civic life, they are load-bearing: the library at Town Hall, the Council on Aging that reaches older residents in their own homes, and the volunteers who keep the town’s history and culture alive. Every one of them takes volunteers.

How to Help
Because Mount Washington is so small, these resources run on residents who step up. Every one of them is a volunteer seat or a volunteer hour away from you: shelve at the library, drive a neighbor for the Council on Aging, help the Historical Commission scan an old photo, or serve on the Cultural Council that hands out the town’s arts grants.
