Mendon’s civic life runs on a handful of local institutions and the volunteers who keep them going. Each of the organizations below keeps its own doors open, and every one of them takes volunteers.

Taft Public Library The town’s public library at 29 North Avenue, founded in 1881, lending books and running programs for all ages. Director Andrew Jenrich. 508-473-3259.
Mendon Historical Society A local nonprofit that stewards the town’s history and runs a museum in the original 1881 Taft Library building.
Milford Daily News The regional daily newspaper covering the Milford area, including Mendon.
