Town Government
Lincoln School Committees & Superintendents
Two Districts, Two Committees
Lincoln is unusual in running two school systems at once. It operates its own PreK-8 district, the Lincoln Public Schools, with about 955 students in the Lincoln School and the Hanscom School on nearby Hanscom Air Force Base. For high school, Lincoln joins the neighboring town of Sudbury in the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District. Each system has its own elected committee, its own budget, and its own superintendent, so a Lincoln family may follow two different school committees depending on how old their children are.
The Lincoln Public Schools (PreK-8)
Parry Graham, Superintendent
About 955 students start their day in the Lincoln Public Schools, and one person answers for all of it. Parry Graham is the Superintendent, hired by and reporting to the elected five-member Lincoln School Committee, which carries out an annual evaluation. He proposes the school budget, sets academic priorities, and runs the PreK-8 district day to day from the central office at 6 Ballfield Road. The committee is elected town-wide to staggered three-year terms, and it sits alongside two non-voting members who represent the Hanscom and Boston METCO communities. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent; its meetings are public and are live streamed, so a Lincoln student who shows up can speak.

The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee (9-12)
Lincoln’s high schoolers attend Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, run jointly with Sudbury under a Regional Agreement between the two towns. The regional committee has six elected members serving three-year terms, two elected by Lincoln voters and four by Sudbury voters, and its combined leader carries the title Superintendent/Principal, Andrew Stephens, at the district office at 390 Lincoln Road in Sudbury. The two members Lincoln elects are your direct voice on the high school budget and policy.
